Be still our Harry Potter loving hearts!!! Words cannot express how exciting the news shared this morning from Orlando’s mayor is!Buddy Dyer announced the following: “This summer [Universal Orlando Resort] will open the new Transformers 3-D ride, followed by the opening next year of a new resort hotel and the expansion of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.”
Holy Hogwarts! It was reported that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was making its way to the parks in L.A. and Japan and some changes were to be expected in the original site in Orlando, Florida. Universal is currently expanding the franchise from its Islands of Adventure location all the way to where the Jaws ride used to be, where it is rumored to become a new and improved Diagon Alley and London se and will even give fans a fully functional Hogwarts Express train that will transport visitors to the original ‘Hogsmeade’ location!

Dyer’s announcement gives hope that we are going to get to experience the awesomeness of this park WAY sooner than we were expecting! Forget waiting on L.A. and Japan to open theirs, let’s all go down to Florida this summer!
As someone who has already been to this amazing park twice now, this news definitely makes me want to book another trip down for these changes!!!
