The X-Men Versus The Avengers: It's On Hugh Jackman's Wish List!

His latest film adventure has yet to be released; however Hugh Jackman has already said he would happily show his claws again to play Wolverine again.

However the Oscar nominated star would love to see a crossover movie starring X-Men and The Avengers and does not understand the behind the scenes fights between Fox and Marvel.

Jackman told Screen Rant in an interview “I don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes, but I think it’s fantastic. I actually just asked the other day, I said, ‘I don’t know what the legal situation is, but why don’t these companies come together? Why isn’t it possible?’

"Because personally, I would love to mix it up with Robert Downey Jr and Iron Man and kick his ass. It’d be great."

As a fan of both X-Men and The Avengers, I would love to see the franchises join forces however seeing as there is a current fight between the studios over the use of the character Quicksilver in the movies X-Men 2: Days of Future Past and Avengers 2, the likelihood of seeing Jackman and Downey Jnr sharing a screen is unlikely. I think it would also need to be a really strong script and premise otherwise the only outcome would be two sets of very passionate disappointed fans.

In the meantime, Wolverine returns to the big screen on July 26 in The Wolverine.
