A new still from the upcoming 2014 sci-fi drama, Divergent, has been released, and it shows Theo James flexing his goods as the character Four. Divergent is based on a first book in a trilogy from the top-selling young adult novel by Veronica Roth. The movie also stars Shailene Woodley (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) as Tris and Kate Winslet playing Jeanine Matthews.
Divergent is set in the future, in a city that has been divided into five factions based on the people’s personality types. The rebellious main character, Tris, discovers plans that involve eliminating anyone and everyone of her personality type who doesn’t fit into a tribe. When it comes time for Tris to choose a faction of her own, she chooses the Dauntless faction (the brave faction), which Theo’s character is the instructor in.
James spoke to EW about this new image and he explains that it in the earlier parts of the films where he has just introduced the new members of the faction to their training.
Divergent is set to hit theaters in the United States and the United Kingdom on March 21, 2014.
