Theresa Presents Her New Single “By Your Side”

Like many artists, Theresa has loved music all her life, and has an impressive behind-the-scenes background in the industry, but it’s only really in the last few years, since she turned 40, that’s discovered her true passion – and talent – for it; a talent she’s now sharing with the world through her songs. Such talent is displayed on her latest single “By Your Side”, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere.

“I really feel that my new single “By Your Side” really signifies a turn in my evolution as an artist,” says Theresa when asked about what the song means to her. “It’s my first time working with the incredible Spencer Ludwig, who I’ve been a huge fan of for years. We wrote this song from our respective homes in LA and NY during quarantine – taking turns going back and forth with each other sharing ideas and even tracking live vocals remotely. Spencer is so supportive and patient. He really encouraged me to find new self-confidence with vocal performance allowing me to just really go for it that’s been even influencing new material I am currently working on.”

She goes on to add: “Thematically, although the song itself is super upbeat and fun, the meaning behind it is quite deep. I often find myself missing people who are no longer in my life. Whether it’s a former friend or love, we all have someone in our lives that we have some unfinished business with to resolve. For one reason or another, time and circumstance might keep us apart – but there’s always that feeling, that bond, that something that is just so hard to shake. I firmly believe that connections this strong are meant to be in some capacity. The truth is – together or apart – stories like these are always far from over. No matter how hard we try to convince ourselves otherwise.”
