British actor and star of the upcoming Elton John biopic Rocketman, Tom Hardy, didn’t let his so-called insecurities stop him from going shirtless on the cover of Esquire, and just five days later, it seems like indie film-directing/writing/producing/acting superwoman Lake Bell wasn’t afraid, either. Namely, Bell posed entirely topless for the mag’s upcoming May 2014 cover, letting loose by exposing some serious skin, including some generous side-boob.

This isn’t the first time Bell has shown some skin for a magazine photo shoot, however. In late 2013, the In A World… star posed completely nude for the August edition of New York Magazine, being covered by not much more than a few well-placed graphics on the cover of the mag. In an interview with HitFix.com on the subject, Bell reportedly stated, “I’m not squeamish about being nude!”

On May 16, Bell’s next venture into acting will be released to theaters in the form of the sports bio-drama Million Dollar Arm. If anything, this Esquire shoot is sure to do good for the upcoming flick. It’s all a nice twist on the phrase “April showers bring May flowers”. What do you think?
