Looks like fans will be able to return the Grid in more ways than one.
Disney Games has announced that it will be releasing their new Tron game, Tron RUN/r, on both the XBOX One and the PS4. The game has currently been under early access for PC players through Steam.
The game was previously announced during The Game Awards in December. Currently, players who play under the early access version will only have to pay $10. The game will be $20 across all platforms after full release.
Fans attending PAX South this weekend in Texas or ESPN's Winter X Games in Colorado can try the game ahead of launch.
Torn RUN/r is an endless runner game with a twist. Each of the 32 levels offer a new challenge than the last and players are able to either run or use the series' famous light cycles to navigate the various levels of the game. Players are also able to create their own gird characters and customize them with various in-game items.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cy7T7BbWyRE?rel=0&h=500
Tron RUN/r's current early access currently allows players to play the first six levels of traditional Disc mode and the first three levels of Cycle mode.
The game also features an endless mode that allows players to go up against friends through challenges and leaderboards.
It's no surprise that the game has been getting rave reviews from those who have had a chance to try the game out. Many players are praising the game thanks to it colors and the effects of the game, especially in comparisons to Tron: Evolution, the companion game to Tron: Legacy.
The soundtrack is also something that fans can get excited to look out for thanks to new songs from Raney Shockne and legend Georgio Moroder, who has worked with Daft Punk, the composers of Tron: Legacy's soundtrack. The game also features remixes from other artists like Autechre, Bibio, Darkstar, Joywave, patten, and Plaid.
Tron RUN/r will be released on XBOX One, PS4 and PC on February 16th.
