The tagline for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day is ‘Do something funny for money’ and model Kate Moss certainly provided some much needed entertainment on a wet, dreary UK morning. Moss, a long-standing supporter of the British charity which raises money to help the needy in the UK and abroad, appeared on Nick Grimshaw’s BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show this morning to read from E.L. James’ mummy-porn novel, Fifty Shades of Grey.

Being dubbed ’50 Shades of Kate,’ the supermodel generally lets her work do the speaking for her. So much so that in a bid to raise funds, Grimshaw joked on air that “She’s taken a sponsored silence for the last 25 years. What we need is two hundred grand.” Having reached that target, as seen in the video below, a nervous Moss, seated next to Grimshaw and in front of an enraptured audience of rapper Wretch 32, Union J, director Richard Curtis and more, began to read over the airwaves. Her reading was met with wild applause from those watching.
