To prepare for their different roles, actors will sometimes do research on the type of character they are playing, and Vanessa Hudgens is no different.
In her new movie, Frozen Ground, which is based on real events, Hudgens plays “Cindy,” a teen prostitute. The young actress interviewed the real-life Cindy to better portray her in the film. “[Her performance] was completely influenced by her. She told me everything about her whole entire life; from her earliest memories to where she’s at now,” she said in an interview with Digital Spy.
There has been no word yet as to whether or not the real life Cindy has seen the movie, but Hudgens does say that she doesn’t think she should see it. “It’s a bit traumatic to watch it and see others relive it,” she said.
The movie also brings back together to the screen Con-Air co-stars, Nicholas Cage and John Cusack, who play a state trooper and serial killer, respectively, who are stalking Cindy.
