With the Veronica Mars movie Kickstarter project now sitting at $5,192,079 at the time of writing (that’s almost more than $3.2 million more than they set out to make), creator Rob Thomas is now turning his eyes to the world’s biggest fan convention – San Diego Comic Con. As reported by The Mary Sue, Rob Thomas recently updated Kickstarter supporters, letting them know the Veronica Mars movie team is heading to San Diego and what to expect from the appearance.
“We’re still working with the organizers to figure out if we’ll be holding an official, scheduled panel as part of Comic-Con,” he wrote. “I’ll be there, along with as many of our cast members as I can bring along, and we’ll be doing an exclusive Q&A session.”
There are also reports that there will be an autograph signing at the Warner Bros. booth and a private party on 19 July at 7.30pm. Rumour has it that a first glimpse of the film might be on the party agenda.
Following a cry from fans that they were blocked from donating to the Kickstarter fund, a number of new countries have since opened up. Now accepting donations from 21 countries, fans from the countries listed below should rush to the Kickstarter site as donations close on Friday Apr 12, 11:00pm EDT.
Donations are now accepted from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK.
