The Veronica Mars movie trailer was shown today along with some behind the scenes footage during the H-Hall presentation at Comic-Con before it was released early to Kickstarter backers and, marshmallows, it’s glorious.
The video begins with the words “A long time ago, we used to be friends,” on the screen, followed by, “And then it ended. You’ve waited years. You even said you’d pay for it. It’s finally happening.” And yes, it’s finally happening.
We see a whole slew of old familiar faces as Veronica, who we discover is no longer in the detective game, goes back to Neptune for a class reunion and subsequently gets sucked back into the world she hasn’t been a part of since the end of season 3. Set in 2013, and looking slicker than ever, the trailer conveys a movie that looks infused with what made Veronica Mars such a hit with the fans.
Filming wrapped on the movie last week and is due to hit theatres in 2014. If the trailer, and three epic seasons of snarky goodness, is anything to go by, the movie is set to be completely worth the wait.
Check out the video below. The movie trailer starts at 3:09.
