This past Wednesday, news came out the zombie-filled series “Walking Dead” had upgraded some of the actors to series regulars. This news didn’t go over good with all the Melissa McBride fans all around the world. Melissa McBride has been playing Carol since season 1 and supporters for the actress demanded that AMC get off their asses and make the star a series regular.
Oddly, McBride confirmed herself via her official Twitter account that she has always been a series regular. She thought the her supports did an “awesome outpouring” in regards to making sure that she was a regular and would continue to remain one. Chad L. Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green and Emily Kinney have recently been promoted to series regulars. All questions about her status as a series regular is all a matter of legalese. Sadly, McBride’s name is not listed in the credits amongst the other series regulars. She is only listed in the secondary credits.
What remains unclear to fans of the show is how exactly the decisions are made. Even the creator Robert Kirkman doesn’t have any really answer to that question. He told Tvline “I’m sorry to admit that I don’t even know what the term series regular even means.”
Well, that’s just meddling the unhelpful.
