Simon Fuller, renowned music manager known for managing the Spice Girls, recently admitted that his ideas for the group lived on.  Fuller explains in the BBC Radio 2 documentary, The Fuller Picture:  “That was probably the most significant and important year of my life.”

“S Club 7, in some ways, was a continuation of some of the things I’d have liked to have done with the Spice Girls. It was also a shift in tone.” He continued saying he wanted more diversity and included a coed group to attempt something different.

Fuller added, “I wanted it to be TV-led. I wanted it to be singing and dancing and acting. And I also wanted it to be my project, so I invented S Club 7.”

Fuller, who has since moved on to manage various musicians such as Carrie Underwood, Scotty McCreery, and Steven Tyler, expressed some unsettling feelings from his departure with the Spice Girls.

“I think the fact the Spice Girls could wake up and decide they didn’t want to work with me anymore wasn’t great, so I wanted to build my next project that couldn’t disband and break up – and it was mine.”

The group may not have reached the international success the Spice Girls attained but they spawned multiple top 10 hits throughout their time together, and a show that aired in over 110 countries.

S Club 7 disbanded in 2005 after supposed issues with management, long schedules, and exhaustion.

Rumors of a reunion have always been shot down, until recently member Paul Cattermole urged the group to reunite via Twitter.

Do you think the group could find it’s former success, or should they just enjoy the memories?
