Watch The Arrowverse Trailers From SDCC17

Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends Of Tomorrow all showed new trailers at their SDCC panels. Watch them here!

SDCC is the most wonderful time of the year, whether you’re in San Diego or not. Thanks to the internet, people all over the world get trailers and news almost as soon as people in the convention center did. Yesterday, all the Arrowverse shows (Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, and Legends Of Tomorrow) had their panels and at them, a short trailer debuted for the upcoming seasons. Considering the cliffhangers that a few of the shows ended on this past spring, people were very excited to find out what’ll be happening in the fall.

The Supergirl trailer:

I guess every hero needs a period of angst and sadness, and this season looks like it’ll be Kara’s time. I’m not thrilled with that, because Kara is usually such a cheery, smiley person, and I think the fans really like that, so having her all closed off and broody could really change the whole mood of the show. On a different note, that one scene of Kara whipping off her glasses with Lena in the background could be hinting that Lena may find out Kara’s secret. That’ll be quite the dynamic change between the friends, so I’m both excited and worried at that prospect. Lastly, though it’s not shown in the trailer, it was revealed that Cat Grant will be back in the premiere and throughout the season in a reoccurring role. New villains, new emotions, new challenges. Supergirl season 3 looks, so far, like it’ll be a slightly different show.

The Flash trailer:

How can we have The Flash without The Flash? Well, it seems we won’t have to wait too long for Barry to be back in Central city. With Iris seemingly taking on a new leadership role at STAR Labs and the rest of the team figuring out how to deal with their emotions, this season will be, at the start at least, different. While I find it hard to believe that the team would only try to find a way to bring Barry home once some crazy samurai asks, I’m glad to see some progress happening there. Will it be too good to be true? Probably. The highlight from this trailer for me is that Caitlin is back and she’s smiling! I don’t know how or why, but she’s back doing some science with her best friend instead of being a cold ice killer. Overall, I think it’ll be neat to see everyone without Barry, even for a few episodes, so I am excited for season 4.

The Legends Of Tomorrow Trailer:

The last we saw of this rag-tag team was when they crashlanded in a weird dino-filled mess of LA, with Rip Hunter taking a break. We seem to pick up soon after, as the team is faced with cleaning up an impossible mess. And guess what? They’re not the only ones now. They’ve got a bit of a rivalry now with Time Bureau, which we will learn all about. Not seen in the trailer is new teammember Zari, a hacker from 2030. Also not seen in the trailer is the fact that both Damien Darhk and Leonard Snart will be back for parts of the season. Of the four shows, Legends has been a favourite of mine because it’s been so light and funny, and I hope this season maintains that (though based on the trailer, it seems to be getting a bit more serious and complicated). P.S. Yes, Victor Garber, please tell us more about the Titanic!

The Arrow trailer:

Arrow‘s latest season ended on the biggest cliffhanger, so I think this trailer was the most anticipated. The good news is, we know of a few people to survive the blast. The bad news is that most of this trailer is old footage. Slade and Dinah apparently make it, giving us all hope that others did too. I mean, we know that the whole cast is signed on for another year, but Arrow is prone to flashbacks, so we’ll have to wait and see if someone’s role is just as a flashback because they’re dead. And I guess William is going through shock or something because the last thing Oliver needs to deal with a kid, his son no less, who thinks he’s the monster. I guess that no matter who lives or dies on the island, Oliver’s perspective will be changed and how he functions both as Oliver Queen and as The Green Arrow will be altered. Season six could be very different if this is the case, and I’m looking forward to it.

And there you have it, the four shows of the Arrowverse and their SDCC trailers. Which trailer was the best? Which show are you most looking forward to?
