Wedding bells are in the air for Magneto and Professor X!
Well, in a way… Sir Ian McKellan will be officiating the wedding of Sir Patrick Stewart and jazz singer Sunny Ozell! The actor and his 35-year-old fiancée are set to be married in an intimate ceremony, and who better to join them together than Stewart’s longtime-friend and X-Men co-star Sir Ian McKellan?
This wouldn’t be his first time officiating a wedding. McKellan has previously presided over a civil partnership between two men, during which, he said, he “was crying [his] eyes out.”
So! What does a man like Sir Ian McKellan wear to an event like this? We can’t wait to see what he’ll do this time, but the first time he did it he went with “a sort of gown.” In his words it was “something I bought in India that was rather fetching.” Although, he went on to add, “You mustn’t upstage the bride.” Sound advice, don’t you think?
The two actors will be reprising their iconic X-Men roles in the upcoming film X-Men: Days of Future Past.
