Imagine being on a cruise ship, jamming to Weezer’s “Island In the Sun” as you sunbathe, only it is not a recording but the band actually playing live for you. Well, those dreams are about to become reality. Years after they sang to us that “we’ll be playin’ an’ havin’ fun”, Weezer is finally coming up with the goods.
“We are excited to announce the Weezer Cruise will set sail on Feb. 13 through 17, 2014, from Jacksonville, Florida to the Bahamas,” the band announced in a promotional video for the cruise. “Along with musical performances by Weezer, we will be teaming up with some of our favorite bands to make this a music festival at sea,” bassist Scott Shriner also shared.
This would not be the first cruise that Weezer has done as the band did a trip in 2012.
