Brace yourself for a lot more wigs because The Wendy Williams Show just got renewed through 2017! So tell me Wendy, how YOU doin?!
Debmar-Mercury (the production/distribution company of Williams show) announced on Tuesday that it renewed the The Wendy Williams Show through the 2016-17 television season on Fox Television Stations. The show which was given the green light after a six week test run in 2008 has a seen a steady increase in the ratings. The news follows Debmar-Mercury’s announcement that The Wendy Williams Show would extend its production schedule into the summer months while most of the other daytime talk shows are on hiatus.
Speaking of the show’s success, Fox Television Stations senior vice president of programming Frank Cicha said, “Over the last few years, [The Wendy Williams Show has] evolved into the ideal lead-out to our morning news blocks. Like our news, the show delivers a day/date immediacy that serves as a blueprint for where we want to be the rest of the day.”
