This weekend, a year after he first met her, Rixton‘s Jake Roche called on the assistance of his musician friend, Ed Sheeran, to help with his proposal to Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson.
As the girls prepared to sound-check ahead of their performance at Manchester Arena on Sunday, with Ed Sheeran in the background, guitar in hand and performing a rendition of “Tenerife Sea”, Jake got down on one knee.
After his future wife said a tearful “yes”, Roche posted this:

Nelson went on to share the same image, complete with delighted message, on her band’s Instagram:
Roche revealed that Sheeran had travelled for five hours on his day off to help make the occasion special, and the pair exchanged messages via Twitter.

Nelson is now the second member of Little Mix to get engaged after former One Direction singer Zayn Malik popped the question to Perrie Edwards last August. No Ed Sheeran there, though. Odd, because the guy is everywhere!
