Gleeks will need to be packing their bags and heading back to New York City over the summer as it has been confirmed that another star will be making their debut treading the boards on the Great White Way. But which one is it?

After much speculation, Broadway.com announced that none other than your favourite Cheerios coach, Sue Sylvester, aka Jane Lynch, will be hanging up her tracksuit and knocking back the gin and terrorising little orphan girls as Miss Hannigan in the revival production of Annie. Apart from her many memorable TV and film roles, Lynch has also appeared off-Broadway in Love, Loss, and What I Wore and The Real Live Brady Bunch and the Real Live Game Show. Annie will mark her Broadway debut.

In a recent interview Jane commented, “Some may say I know a thing or two about playing intimidating authority figures, so I am excited and honored to be making my Broadway debut with the wonderful Annie company at the Palace Theatre and joining the pantheon of women who have taken on the great and irresistible role of wicked Miss Hannigan.”

There has been no departure date set for current star, Katie Finneran, though Lynch’s run starts on May 16.

Lynch will be playing a limited 8 week run from May 16 through July 14 and if previous Glee stars are anything to go by, tickets will be hotly snapped up. Tickets are currently on sale up to June 2. More information can be found at the official website http://www.anniethemusical.com/, by calling 877-250-2929, or in person at the Palace Theatre box office (1564 Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets).
