The new Magic Mike sequel, entitled: Magic Mike XXL,will gain the lovely talent of actress Andie MacDowell. MacDowell, best known for her role in Groundhog Day, will be joining Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, and Alex Pettyfer in the sequel. Nothing much is said about MacDowell’s character yet, but we will have the full details as more information comes out.
Although as one joins, another must leave; director Gregory Jacobs confirmed that Matthew McConaughey will not be reprising is role as Dallas in the upcoming sequel. Nothing much is said about why McConaughey will not be returning for the sequel, but I’m sure it is for a good reason.
As far as the sequel goes, Jacobs says that the movie will follow the guys as they hit the road, so anything is possible for the outcome of the film.
Magic Mike XXL started filming earlier this month and has a tentative release date of July 1, 2015.
