Taylor Swift is the cover girl for the April issue of Vanity Fair. The country turned pop starlet took the opportunity to fire back some shade at Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. As you may recall Fey and Poehler poked fun of Swift’s dating history during their gig hosting the Globes back in January. If you need your memory jogged Fey warned Taylor to stay away from Mr. Golden Globe who was Michael J. Fox’s son. Poehler followed up by telling the singer to just go for it. The jab at her personal life clearly ruffled Taylor’s feathers. Swift told Vanity Fair “You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people, because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved … that said, ‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.’” Apparently Fey and Poehler are looking to tear other women down for sport… Right…
Not to sit in silence Poehler responded to Swift’s remarks “Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff.”
Fey had this to say: "If anyone was going to get mad at us, I thought it would be James Cameron. I did not see that one coming. It was a joke, it was a lighthearted joke." Also word for the wise Taylor, these are two ladies that you don’t want to mess with, so please spare us a song.
Disclaimer: I would just like to point out that I am in no way related to Taylor Swift. However there was one cashier who thought this was my stage name. I was in LA when that happened, so take that with a grain of salt.
