Looks like The Village director has a lot to be excited about. M. Night Shaymalan’s new film After Earth starring Will Smith, was set to be released on June 7th, but will now be out on May 13th. It will be released the same weekend as Now You See Me & The Purge.
The film is starring the father/son duo of Will & Jayden Smith. The film synopsis is as follows: A crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jayden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) are stranded on earth, 1000 years after the cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape.With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must being on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncertain terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash.
This looks to be a decent movie, even if it kind of sounds like it’s been done before, am I right or wrong on this?
