Will Bob, Helen, Jack-Jack, and the rest of the Incredibles be making a return to the silver screen?  If Academy Award Winner Brad Bird, the creator of The Incredibles, has any say in the matter, we should be expecting the return of the superhero family in the hopefully-not-too-distant future!

According to The Hollywood Report, Brad Bird has expressed a high degree of interest in bringing a follow-up to the 2004 Disney/Pixar blockbuster to the big screen.

“I have been thinking about it,” he told THR.

“I have many, many elements that I think would work really well in another film, and if I can get ‘em to click all together, I would probably wanna do that.”

The Incredibles grossed over $260 million dollars in the United States alone, with a significantly higher total gross worldwide.  The film also won two Academy Awards that year including Best Animated Feature.

Bird is no stranger to the Disney/Pixar family, having also directed the 2007 Ratatouille which also took home Oscar gold for Best Animated Featured.  Bird is also busy at work on his next venture with Disney, a feature film starring George Clooney and Hugh Laurie entitled Tommorowland.

Fun Fact: Brad Bird, aside from writing and directing The Incredibles, also lent his voice to the animated blockbuster.  Bird voiced the crowd-favorite Edna Mode, fashion expert to the superhero world.
