The zombie-action film, World War Z, beat Troy as the top-grossing film of Brad Pitt’s career.
Paramount Pictures has claimed the film adaptation of Max Brooks’ book has earned over $500 million worldwide, while Troy grossed $497 million.
Pitt invested his own money in the film, which cost $220 million, and was expected to be a failure after a troubled production period and extended delays.
Hard work pays off!
Thanks to its success, World War Z will have a sequel, with Brad reprising his lead role.
Meanwhile we’ll see Brad Pitt in 12 Years a Slave and The Counselor.
