"X-Men Days Of Future's Past" To Kick Off Summer Blockbuster Season

Comic book fanatics can vouch when it’s said that their long awaited movies’ release dates get moved time and time again. But this time, Fox has announced a pleasant surprise for the happy series followers.

Since 2011, X-Men fans have been patiently awaiting the arrival of the next episode of the film series. Christmas has come early for these comic fanatics with the announcement of a bumped up release date. Originally scheduled for July 18, the X-Men: Days of Future Past will now be released May 23, 2014 in order to kick of a summer of blockbusters.

Following Days of Future Past is another highly anticipated sequel, Dawn of the Planet Apes. This film was initially scheduled to be released in the end of May. It will now take on the former film’s release date of July 18, 2014. This isn’t a great surprise seeing that this movie has had behind the scenes shuffling since day one. Hopefully everything will soon be set straight.

Fox has announced both films simultaneously to spike excitement for the upcoming summer. So get out your calendars and get excited! An action packed season is just around the corner.
