Yes, This Is Real Life: Giant Penis Jizzes Glitter To Help Promote Safe Sex

In a headline that is clearly NSFW, we’re here to tell you this is totally real: a man in a giant penis costume wants you to have safe sex.

A student in Norway has, in an effort to encourage more young people to practice safe sex, been dousing unsuspecting people in glittery confetti while dressed up as a penis.

Philip van Eck, 19, working for the charity RFSU, wore the outfit to promote the campaign that has the tagline “Tiss kan overraske” which roughly translated means “The penis can surprise you.”

Talking about his involvement with the campaign, Philip said:

I thought it was hilarious. If I can do a good thing for others, just by being a dick, there is nothing better. The filming was not unproblematic, as passers-by wanted selfies with the giant penis.

The campaign was launched as a result of statistics revealing chlamydia to be the most common sexually transmitted disease among Norwegians. Despite this, the country also uses fewer condoms than a few other countries, including Denmark and Finland.

Unsurprisingly, not all those who have came across the giant penis were impressed. Pernille Berg, who through the advertising agency Involve! has helped promote the campaign said:

The campaign mostly found favour, and people understood the humour in our message, although many, especially those over 30, thought the campaign was pointless and some went so far as to brand it banal and idiotic.

What do you think of the campaign? Do you think it will help raise awareness or is it just a big gimmick? Comment below and let us know!
