Wait for it … wait for it…

Whaaaaaaat?!?!

The sound you’re hearing is certain to be the collective freak-out of Psych and Chuck fans everywhere. Zachary Levi has been cast as the villain in this December’s Psych: The Movie. Psych stars Dulé Hill and James Roday broke the news on Hill’s Twitter page with a hilarious pineapple-infused video.

In the teaser video, Hill and Roday pose a “What is this?” question to fans while holding up a pineapple. Levi (sporting copper-colored hair!) passes by in the background with the answer and a shout-out to Chuck fans. As Psych fans know well, pineapples were a recurring motif, with one appearing somewhere in the background of each episode, and on Levi’s 2007-2012 NBC show, Chuck, “pineapple” was used as a code word.

As reported last month, the cast of USA’s pseudo-psychic detective series, Psych, which wrapped officially in 2014 after eight years, is reuniting for a new TV movie which will air later this year.

In addition to Hill and Roday, series stars Timothy Omundson, Maggie Lawson, Corbin Bernsen, and Kirsten Nelson on board for the new movie as well. (Though Omundson, who played Det. Lassiter, suffered a stroke earlier this year, he is still expected to be in the film and appears to be recovering nicely, according to his Twitter page.)

Hill and Roday’s Twitter video and Levi’s appearance solves at least one of the mysteries surrounding the plot of the movie — that is who will be playing the villain targeting one of the team members. As far as other plot points, producers are keeping a tight lid on the details, but we’re guessing there are sure to be plenty of pineapples.

Psych: The Movie will premiere on USA this December.
