Avril gets sexual in new single and it’s all in the name of adorable Japanese brand, Hello Kitty. Wait… What?
Chatting to Digital Spy recently, Canadian songstress, Avril Lavigne revealed that she has recorded a “sexual” song to appear on her upcoming album.
The song apparently has an electro-pop edge, and is titled “Hello Kitty”. While it does pay tribute to her love of the brand, she confirms it also has a flirtatious double meaning.
“‘Hello Kitty’ was such an interesting topic and subject. It was really exciting for me,” Avril explained. “I didn’t want it to sound like anything I’d done before. I wanted it to sound over the top so I ended up hiring a new producer to help me with it. Obviously it’s flirtatious and somewhat sexual, but it’s genuinely about my love for Hello Kitty as well!”
We certainly can’t wait to hear the quirky record and in particular, we cannot wait to see the music video. Avril’s latest single, “Rock N Roll” has already been making waves around the globe with its UK release set for October 27 so we’re sure “Hello Kitty” will be a smash.
The upcoming album is simply to be titled, Avril Lavigne, as she explained she wasn’t sure what else to call it. You can grab your copy in a matter of weeks! UK release date is November 4, while the US release date is November 5.
