Introducing The Magic Lightnin’ Boys

Meet the Cincinnati Ohio’s swamp rock and blues juggernaut, The Magic Lightnin’ Boys, who use music as a tool used to smash through mediocrity.

For Cincinnati Ohio’s swamp rock and blues juggernaut, The Magic Lightnin’ Boys, music is a tool used to smash through mediocrity. Their new album titled Stealin’ Thunder, is guaranteed to attract a large audience of foot stomping, whiskey drinking, music goers all around. Self-produced and mixed by Dave Cornett at 3rd St. Music, and mastering done by Brian Lucey of Magic Garden, the energy found within this potent album is more than enough to go around. Hats off to the visionary that chose to keep the raw and gritty sound that might be expected while seeing this band play live.

Currently promoting their infectious track, “The Ride”, this song captures the essence of what The Magic Lightnin’ Boys bring to the table. Not the heaviest or fastest song on Stealin’ Thunder, it is one of the most commercially sounding tracks on the album. With an accompanying video that captures the raw essence of the band, it can be expected that “The Ride” is going places fast.

The accolades associated with The Magic Lightnin’ Boys are many, from the Eatonic Music Festival Featuring Buddy Guy, to the Ohmstead Music Festival, to the RiversEdge Amphitheater and beyond, no one can blame this band of not putting in the effort. Not all bands can be classified as hard working, but the ones that are stand a much better chance at reaching the largest audience, which The Magic Lightnin’ Boys are clearly aiming to do with this impressive musical gem.

For a band that has not been together that long, they sound as if they have been playing for a great many years. The video for “The Ride” shows a group of musicians that not only enjoy the music they play, but also the company they keep. Everything looks like it is in place for this band, and most importantly, they seem to know who they are and what they want to bring to their growing audience.

Releasing their full debut album Stealin’ Thunder May 6th, 2016, The Magic Lightnin Boys are more than ready to get you stompin’ your feet along with their own personal brand of rock and roll.

The Magic Lightnin’ Boys can be found on Facebook, Soundcloud and their official website.
