A brand new trailer has been released for BBC Four’s upcoming feature Burton & Taylor. The biopic chronicles the turbulent relationship between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton while they appeared in the 1983 revival of Noel Coward’s Private Lives.
The film’s eponymous characters are played by Dominic West and Helena Bonham Carter, respectively. Burton & Taylor comes under a year after a different made-for-TV movie on the same subjects. Of course the one I am talking about is the infamous Liz & Dick, which starred Lindsay Lohan as Liz Taylor.
Burton & Taylor will debut on BBC Four and BBC America later this year.
