It’s always fascinating when one takes the time to look back at how much society has evolved over time, especially when it comes to our clothing.
Clothing styles throughout time all reflect the popular or acceptable looks for a young man or woman. So what kind of changes has men’s swimwear choices made over time? Mode.com decided to give people a look of 100 years of men swimwear in 3 minutes.
Mode.com shows the model trying on the best of men’s swimwear from 1915 to 2015 and the results aren’t bad.
It was interesting to see how over time the swimwear went from covering almost everything (1915 & 1925) to comfortably covering the essentials (1935 to 1975) to the shorts look that we see in recent historical fashion.
Personally, my top three are 1945, 1985 and 2005 (That belly roll had me sold) plus it was nice that they had the model also wear the appropriate hairstyles for each decade he was dressed up for.
