Isabelle Lightwood (Emeraude Toubia), of Freeform’s Shadowhunters, is easily one of the toughest, coolest, most confident women on television. She wields a whip like Indiana Jones, loves her friends and family more than anything, and she is never, ever the damsel in distress — in fact, Izzy usually does the rescuing. Izzy has the brains to match her beauty, a body-positive attitude, and takes complete ownership of her sexuality. Basically, Isabelle Lightwood is a total badass. And with a second season of Shadowhunters on the way, there are sure to be plenty more epic Izzy moments in our future. In the mean time, I’ve assembled some of my favorite moments from season one that prove Isabelle Lightwood is our spirit animal.
