15-Year-Old “Deez Nuts” Runs For President

Yes, you read that headline correctly. Polling around 9% in North Carolina, Iowa, and Minnesota is Deez Nuts  – also known as 15 year old Brady Olson.

Named after a recent and popular internet meme, Deez Nuts stands on a platform built on beliefs in abortion, same-sex marriage, territorial voting rights, etc, and mainly sides with the Libertarian Party. Deez Nuts’s full presidential platform, among other things, can be found over at his official website. 

Recently, Rolling Stone interviewed Deez Nuts, who will soon be entering his sophomore year of high school. Mr. Nuts mentioned that he is qualified to be President because of “the fact that if [he] can fill out a form so vague that it doesn’t include [his] age, or the fact that all get accepted even if they’re only partially filled, anyone can run.”

Whether this presidential campaign is simply a contribution to the “Deez Nuts” meme or a far more complicated political satire, Deez Nuts concluded the interview by saying that he will take this “As far as America wants to take it.”
