Frank Ocean has spoken out about some upcoming music of his and unfortunately, you’re not going to be able to hear any of it until the summer of 2014!
The R&B singer, who is currently working on his follow-up album to his vastly successful Channel Orange, was asked by a fan via Tumblr when they could expect to hear some new music to which he replied “when summer comes round again.”
Frank recently had an interview with Oyster Magazine in which he revealed that while he was never a bully in school, he was into other activities that are likely to be frowned upon. “I was a thug. I sold a lot of cocaine and crack.”
The interview wasn’t all about Frank selling crack but also had him talking about how he’s always wanted to be a singer and a songwriter since he was younger. “Well, my attitude was pure. I love to make music, and I love to write. It was writing first. I love to write and express myself in that medium, so that was the pure part – just the love of doing something.”
Waiting for new music will be hard but based on his first album, definitely worth it! Until then, we will have to enjoy the old stuff and watch his first live performance since tearing one of his vocal cords at the OFWGKTA Carnival in LA on November 9th.
