’47 Meters Down’ First Trailer Talk

This summer get ready to jump back out of the water, cause 47 Meters Down just released its first official trailer and we’re here to talk about it!

Maybe this is going to be a new trend! Every summer we’ll get a shark movie that will scare us to death right when we are ready to go out in that ocean and ride some waves. Last summer brought us the terrifying, jump out of your seat Blake Lively thriller, The Shallows (2016), and while I am not really a horror film fan, I like me some shark movies (I mean, come on, Jaws (1975)), and that film did not let me down.

This summer comes another scary underwater adventure called 47 Meters Down (2017) about two sisters (Mandy Moore and Claire Holt) who decide to go scubadiving and hang out in a shark cage, until said cage somehow detaches and drops, you guessed it, 47 meters down to the seafloor, and in complete darkness they have to figure out a way to get back up to the surface.

Thanks, movie. All hopes of ever going in one of those shark cages have completely diminished now. Not that I was ever REALLY planning on doing that anyway.

While the sharks in this trailer don’t look quite as realistic as certain shots in The Shallows, the CGI might not be fully complete yet. It also appears to be more of a low-budget film than The Shallows,  but even if this is the finished product, it is still an intensely scary yet intriguing trailer. If you don’t jump at least once when watching this, then you have nerves of steel. Despite me probably covering my eyes and falling off my seat several times, I’ll most definitely have to check out this movie this summer. I have to know if they make it for heaven’s sake!

Directed by horror filmmaker Johannes Roberts, 47 Meters Down will star Mandy Moore, Claire Holt, and Matthew Modine, and swims into theaters this summer on June 16, 2017.

Wait, Mandy Moore did the voice of Rapunzel in Disney’s Tangled (2010), right? So what if she used her long hair to… well maybe not.

Check out the trailer below… if you dare!
