Most of you might remember Fear Street as a series of books that graced our school book fairs and were scarcely available for check out at your local library.

But…they are backkkk!!!

The series has been around for numerous years; I have almost everyone to date and still peruse old bookstores in hopes of collecting the ones I could not get my hands on.

Which was why I was shocked to find that a lot of recent publishers did not embrace the thought of a brand new series to enchant the young adult readers of today. Perhaps the concept was a bit outdated? We are talking about the 80’s folks. However, one publisher believed in the series and with a magic of Twitter, a new baby Fear Street series is set to be released this September.

I am beyond excited to see what the newest book will encompass and how it will correlate with some of my personal favorites such as The New Girl, The Wrong Number, and Halloween Party.

A special thanks to Kat Brzozowski and Thomas Dunne Books for believing in R.L. Stine [because why wouldn’t they, right?] and helping him become the author that I know the new generation will come to love.

The first book in the new series named Party Games is about a high school student named Rachel who is invited to the Fear’s summer house on Fear Island for a Halloween party. But one by one the guests started getting murdered.

And each murder is attached to a particular game.

Party Games can be pre- ordered on Amazon!
