$90K Raised For Daniel Pierce, Teen Disowned For Coming Out

It has been nearly a week since a video of a young man being kick out and abused by his parents for being gay went viral. Although the young man may not have a supporting family, he indeed has some hope in his heart and over $90,000 in his pocket!

Daniel Pierce uploaded the video, in which his parents tell him that it was “his choice to be gay”, and that unless he seeks counseling he must leave his home. Shortly after, Daniel’s boyfriend made a GoFundMe account in hopes of raising an amount of $2000 to help cover just a few of this 19-year-old’s expenses.

Thousands of people have been touched and sympathize with this courageous young man and responded in such a way that can bring anyone to tears.  Not only was the $2000 raised, but an additional $91,000 in just 4 days!

It is hard enough for any adolescent to deal with the hardships of growing up, but to have additional hardships being brought on by the ones who are suppose to guide you in life is just terrible.

Recently, Daniel released an update on his GoFundMe page, saying:

“I would like to the opportunity to thank each and everyone of you who has so generously donated. My intent is to pay if forward and hopefully turn something so negative into something positive.”

With a gift of this amount, one would defiantly say that faith in humanity has been restored!
