The White House Politely Dismisses The Petition For Justin Bieber’s Deportation

We reported awhile back that some belligerent citizens of this country took it upon themselves to create a petition on the White House’s “We The People” website, urging the government to deport Justin Bieber for the safety of Americans everywhere.

Well, since the petition surpassed 100,000 signatures and the website’s rules state that the White House must respond once any petition reaches that point, the administration has made a statement on the issue.

However, it probably isn’t what the petitioners hoped for. An excerpt reads:

“The We the People terms of participation state that, “to avoid the appearance of improper influence, the White House may decline to address certain procurement, law enforcement, adjudicatory, or similar matters properly within the jurisdiction of federal departments or agencies, federal courts, or state and local government in its response to a petition. So we’ll leave it to others to comment on Mr. Bieber’s case, but we’re glad you care about immigration issues.”

“Care about immigration issues”? Obviously, being the White House, they have to put things delicately, but I don’t.

That petition was simply a waste of time. Instead of revolting against a teenage pop star who is acting out and making some stupid decisions, maybe we can keep the “We The People” website strictly for important issues facing the nation?

Like the need for immigration reform, which can actually benefit  a lot more from the support of 274,000 Americans than a petition to deport Bieber.

Just a suggestion.
