The world watched with bated breath as Germany won its fourth title in the recently-concluded World Cup Final. Scoring 1-0 with a goal by Mario Gotze in extra time against Argentina, their victory brought celebrations in Germany at the same time that supporters of Argentina caused riots in the streets of Buenos Aires (I feel for you guys).

But out of the pitch and into the stands: there was also a lot to see, because the stars came to watch as A-list celebrities from the world of music, movies, fashion, and, of course, sports were there to support their favorite teams.

Let’s start off with the performers who took center stage before the match.

Shakira’s hips were red hot as she performed her World Cup Anthem “La La La (I Dare You)”:

Wyclef Jean, Alexander Pires, and legendary guitarist Carlos Santana also entertained the crowd for the closing ceremonies.

Then on to the star-studded VIP seats.

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen was in attendance with her husband, NFL quarterback Tom Brady. She posted a photo at the ceremony:

Actor Ashton Kuchter was even caught taking a selfie.

But it wasn’t all celebrities; some of the world’s most powerful leaders were there too.

Brazil’s President Dilma Roussef sat with the world’s most powerful woman, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, as well as German President Joachim Gauck, who were there to support their national team. Russian President Vladimir Putin was spotted whispering into the ear of FIFA President Sepp Blatter. Any guesses as to what he said?

South African President Jacob Zuma was also in attendance.

Other celebrities spotted at the event included opera star Placido Domingo, actors Daniel Craig and Gerard Butler, rocker Mick Jagger, and NBA star LeBron James.

Congratulations to Germany on their victory!
