An official poster for the upcoming film The Monuments Men has been released, and surprisingly enough, it isn’t George Clooney himself who stands in the spotlight! He has cordially taken a step back and left co-star Matt Damon to stand up front.
Still, that doesn’t take away the fact that Clooney plays a big role in the film. The famous actor was both the director and the producer, he co-wrote the film himself together with Grant Heslov, and he featured prominently in the previously released trailer.
The Monuments Men, based on a true story, will see a group of art historians and curators fighting against the Nazis during World War II in an attempt to save some renowned works of art. It will be a drama, but at the same time, we can definitely expect a decent amount of comedy.
The film features many other well-known actors and actresses such as Cate Blanchett, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Matt Damon and, of course, George Clooney himself.
The Monuments Men is scheduled to be released on December 18th in the US and January 9th in the UK.
