There has been a long list of guess as to who would take the seat of Joy Behar on the ABC chat fest show, The View.
Behar made the announcement a few months ago that she wouldn’t be returning (some speculate that it has to do with a complete overhaul of the show to bring in a younger and edgier crowd). Since then the rumor mill has been churning out names as to who was in talks to take her place.
The press has guessed anyone from Ann Curry to Brooke Shields and even recently Margret Cho. Today a new hat was thrown into the ring as numerous sources were saying the people of The View reached out to one of NBC’s morning stars Hoda Kotb.
While most were sure that Shields was a sure fire lock the newest rumor of Kotb seems possible as reports are saying that ABC has reached out to her camp.
A source to The New York Post said, “Kotb addresses several of The View’s needs. She has news experience, which is something The View has not had since Meredith Vieira left. She also adds some diversity to the panel.”
