The Harry Potter Alliance (HPA) is working hard on bringing some magic into the hands of young people across the world! Accio Books is HPA’s annual book drive, and it takes place all April long and was started to help fellow Harry Potter fan Maria Keller reach her goal. The 7th grader was the visionary for the non-profit literacy organization Read Indeed. Her goal? To have 1 million books distributed to needy kids by the time’s she’s 18. So far she has donated over 800,000 books, add in the 86,000 that Accio has collected, and she’s pretty close to her goal!
To donate books can be dropped at your local HPA chapter or can be mailed to:

A little more on the Harry Potter Alliance: created to help fight the dark arts in the real world! The HPA uses parallels from J.K. Rowling’s beloved book to work for human rights, equality, and world betterment much like Harry and his friends did!
