Adam Levine will be performing his hit Begin Again single, “Lost Stars”, at the 87th Academy Awards. The Maroon 5 frontman and Voice coach celebrated on Twitter early Monday morning (Jan. 26) with the following tweet:
So…I’ll be singing at the #OSCARS!!! Whaaaat??!?!? Thank you @theAcademy!#LostStars

For a recap, Levine’s tune is up for an Oscar itself, and is up against Rita Ora’s “Grateful” (Beyond the Lights), Common and John Legend’s “Glory” (Selma), “Everything is Awesome” by Teagan and Sara, the Lonely Island (The Lego Movie), and Glen Campbell’s “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” (Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me). Levine is a favorite to snag the Oscar, but is up against stiff competition like Ora, who is also rumored to be performing at the awards, and Campbell, whose “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” went viral following his decline into further stages of Alzheimer’s.
You can watch the official lyric video to “Lost Stars” below. Who do you think will win the Oscar, and can we expect other guest appearances from the nominees?
