Marvel Studios is spoiling us. Not only are they already developing several films for our viewing pleasure, but it turns out they are also planning on expanding some television projects.
After Agent Carter, a new Agents of SHIELD spinoff is being quietly developed. According to Entertainment Weekly, the masterminds behind this project are SHIELD executive producer Jeffrey Bell and SHIELD writer Paul Zybszewski.
There is no word yet on what the plot would look like or whether any of the current cast or recurring characters on SHIELD will make it on the spin off.
But, of course, the plans are not set in stone. Agents of SHIELD, despite its strong showing, has not been officially renewed. Agent Carter is said to have a sixty percent chance for a second season, and anything can happen in negotiations and planning stages, so don’t get too excited yet.
Both Marvel and ABC have not yet made a comment on this, so we’ll just see and hope for the best.
