The Witching hour is upon us. FX has announced that the premiere of American Horror Story: Coven will be Wednesday, October 9th.
The newest instalment of the Emmy nominated series, which is currently filming in New Orleans, will reunite stars Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson, who will be playing a mother and daughter duo. New arrival Angela Bassett will be playing Marie Laveau who is loosely based on an influential 19th Century New Orleans resident. Kathy Bates, who has previous experience with a sinister role thanks to her role in Stephen King’s Misery, is supposed to be channelling the infamous 19th Century serial killer Madame LaLaurie.
Previous AHS alums who will be visiting the Big Easy this season include, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Francis Conroy and Denis O’Hare. Check out the newest teaser for AHS:Coven below:
