Who said it was easy working for music royalty?
Several artists ranging from Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears all faced lawsuits from several disgruntled employees in the past couple of years.
This time, a disgruntled former employee is targeting Alanis Morissette!
Multiple sources, including Radar Online, the Daily Mail and Digital Spy, have stated that a woman named Bianca Camberio is suing Morissette and her husband, Mario Treadway, for $130,000 ($30,000 in unpaid overtime and $100,000 in damages).
Ms. Camberio stated in her lawsuit that she worked as a night nurse for the couple from August 2011 to this past March and watched over their son Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway from 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. for three-to-four days a week.
The plaintiff accused the couple of forcing her to keep watch over the infant without any breaks…until one of the parents was present, or the day nanny arrived to relieve Camberio.
She also stated that this happened several times when she accompanied the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and her family on tour.
When Camberio confronted Morissette’s accountant on why she was not being paid overtime…the accountant replied: “We don’t do that.”
The couple has not yet commented on the lawsuit.
