For those not in the know, Alex Kinsey & Sierra Deaton first made their name known as a musical duo as fan favorites during The X Factor US third and final season. Using their real-life romance to accentuate covers of “Say Something” and Sara Bareilles’ “Gravity” with the rawest type of natural emotion, Alex & Sierra went on to eventually win the whole shindig, moving on to begin producing their debut album, It’s About Us.
Now, fans can finally sink their teeth (or rather, ears) straight into the album a several days before its official release on Oct. 7, thanks to the duo posting a full stream of it onto their VEVO channel! Most will already be familiar with the strummy debut single, “Scarecrow”, but don’t let its modern folk stylings speak for the entire album. It’s About Us explores all edges of the power couple’s musicality, spanning from folk, to blues, soul, pop, light rock, and even electronic sounds.
