Alfie Allen has denied his sister’s claim that she was offered an incestuous role alongside him in Game of Thrones.
Pop star Lily Allen has claimed that she was offered the role of Yara, the sister of her brother’s character Theon. The storyline of the fantasy series would have required Theon to inappropriately touch his sister when they first met and he is unaware of her true identity. Lily Allen had stated that this is the reason why she turned it down, “I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up,” she said in an interview with Reddit AMA, “Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks. I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though.”
However, Alfie Allen has refuted this in an interview with Vulture. “I heard about this, yeah. The only thing I’m going to say on that is that it’s not true,” he said. He went on to add, “And, also that Gemma Whelan was always their first choice for the part. And, she’s fantastic. And, that’s the only thing I’m going to say about that.”
