Alice SK Presents New Single “Run Away”

With mental health and the importance of looking after our emotional well-being having become more important due to the stress and uncertainty caused by the pandemic, the new single from Alice SK, “Run Away”, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere, will likely resonate with A LOT of people.

The striking track is, in Alice’s own words, about: “…being trapped in our minds and how this can lead to us being our own worst enemy; when we start to overthink and over-analyse, we can quickly start on a self-destruction landslide without realising that its happening.” She goes on to add that: “The track is meant to start off as being quite reflective and then as it continues and spirals more into our deeper thoughts/subconscious, it becomes increasingly more desperate as we get a greater sense of not being able to escape. Runaway was written in lockdown when obviously we all had a lot of time to reflect on life, relationships and our own thoughts.”

Like many of her artistic counterparts, Alice found many of her plans, such as those for live shows, had to be scrapped due to the pandemic. She wrote “Run Away”, the fourth track lifted from her forthcoming debut EP ‘Electric’, while much of life as we all knew it had ground to a halt and at a time when artistic creativity in particular, like many things, was stifled and hugely restricted by the devastating impact of Covid. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, there’s a very organic, natural feel to the production of the track, which contrasts nicely with Alice’s deep and low vocals.
