LA rock pop-soul artist ALONZO has shared his new single “Respect,” released in celebration of Black History Month. The track is the lead single from his debut album ENOUGH, due out on March 3rd. “Respect” is an anthem that does not beg for, but affirms African American worth and the respect that is deserved.
“I wanted to release this song to kick off Black History Month as an affirmation,” says ALONZO. “A new anthem that Black people can sing from the rooftops with pride & confidence.”
As an America’s Got Talent semi-finalist, ALONZO was the first singer to ever be approved by The Prince Estate to sing on the 4 U Prince Tour. He has sold out 4 tours across Asia and is a favorite at some of LA’s most storied music venues. ALONZO’s recent single “Sexin’ You” debuted at #21 on the iTunes chart, sandwiched between Chris Brown and Usher.
ALONZO is set to release his debut project on March 3rd, ENOUGH is ALONZO’ s highly anticipated debut Album produced by Eric Zayne (Jordan Sparks, BTS, Ashlee Simpson).
This 3-year body of work encompasses all that is ALONZO – a beautiful fusion of rock, pop, & soul. This musical introduction to ALONZO’s life not only showcases ALONZO’s talent but more importantly, a look into the depth of his heart.
On this musical journey, all of ALONZO’s multi-faceted arsenal is on display. You can hear his pain and his attitude yet, you feel his heart and his soul. “The album is called ENOUGH because I’m done with allowing myself to be held back by perfectionism and fear. I wanted to affirm that I am enough. My talent is enough. Black people are enough. The black women that raised me are enough. Our beauty is enough. We are enough.“
We’re stoked to see what ALONZO has done with his debut project, “ENOUGH” out March 3rd. Until then, “RESPECT” is out now on all major music platforms, worldwide. You can follow ALONZO’s journey on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Spotify.
