According to a number of reports, actress Amanda Bynes was arrested early Sunday for a DUI. Byrnes, 28, was arrested at around 3 a.m. after being pulled over by police outside of Los Angeles. She was charged with a misdemeanor, held for $15,000 bail and was later released.
This is not the first time that Bynes was arrested for a DUI. The first time was in 2012, but she avoided time in jail by entering into a treatment program. At that time, she was given probation for three years. Depending on the toxicology reports, which could take a couple of weeks to get back, she could be in violation of her probation.
For the past few months things have been looking up for Byrnes, who seemed to be pulling her life back together following a string of incidents over the past year. She just got her driver’s license back in April and was taking classes in fashion design.
TMZ reports that Bynes was either on some types of stimulant or could have been under the influence of marijuana.
